Frank Gallo and Bill Bochicchio knew they wanted to start their own company, when working at Ingersoll Rand together. Frank and Bill had a background in drilling and blasting so they decided to purchase a GMC dealership in Dunmore, PA that sold Detroit, Cummins and Caterpillar engines, Dresser Leroy compressors and drills, and Driltec rotary drills. In 1983, Bill and Frank expanded their company when they purchased a local John Deere dealership that represented John Deere in the Construction and Forestry industries. They moved the John Deere dealership to Dunmore, PA – and named it Five Star Equipment. Over the years, Five Star Equipment acquired other John Deere dealerships and has grown
